Concrete is an indispensable building block of modern architecture. However, it is now not only at the forefront with its durability but also with its aesthetic appearance. Thanks to concrete coloring techniques, ordinary gray surfaces can be transformed into lively and characteristic designs. In this article, we will examine in detail the advantages of concrete coloring, different application methods and the products offered by Color & Polish.

Advantages of Concrete Coloring

Concrete coloring offers not only aesthetic but also functional benefits:

  • Aesthetic Variety: You can create original designs with different colors and textures.

  • Durability: Increased resistance to UV rays, moisture and chemicals.

  • Surface Protection: Coloring reduces the abrasion and dusting of the concrete.

  • Cost Effectiveness: Maintenance costs are reduced with long-lasting solutions.

Concrete coloring varies depending on the application method:

1. Superficial Coloring

In this method, the coloring material is applied to the surface of the concrete. It is especially preferred in interior spaces and offers a variety of color options.

2. Chemical Reaction Coloring

Acid-based paints react chemically with concrete to create natural and unique patterns. They can be used both indoors and outdoors.

3. Mass Coloring

Pigments are added to the concrete mix to color the entire mass. This method is especially common in precast concrete elements.

Color & Polish Concrete Colorant Products

Color & Polish offers a variety of concrete colorant products for different needs:

C&P Conc Color (Solvent Based)

It is a ready-to-use solvent-based colorant. In concrete polishing applications, it is applied by spray after 200 pad resin wiping. It provides fast drying and a homogeneous color distribution is obtained on the surface. It should not be used with solvent-based polishes.

C&P Conc Color / Concentrated

It is used by diluting with acetone at a ratio of 1/5 to 1/10. Spray application is recommended on highly permeable surfaces. UV resistance is limited; therefore, it should be used with caution in outdoor areas.

C&P Acid Paint (Acid Based)

It creates natural patterns by chemically reacting with concrete. It can be used both indoors and outdoors. Neutralization and polishing processes are required after application.

C&P Color Indoor (Water Based)

It can be applied on polished concrete, micro concrete or high-dose screed in interior spaces. It is used by diluting with water at a ratio of 1/5 or 1/10. It is recommended to protect with water-based polish after application.

C&P Color Outdoor (Solvent Based)

Provides high UV resistance coloring in outdoor areas. Applied with circular movements using the spray method. It is recommended to protect with water-based polish after application.

Concrete coloring is a modern solution that combines aesthetics and durability. Color & Polish's wide range of products offers options suitable for different needs. Choosing the right product by considering the characteristics of the surface and the purpose of use before application will ensure long-lasting and aesthetic results.
